Tracking routes at Ulenoor

From Ulenoor, Vajir and Shankarappa(co-brother of Vajir) camped at a distance of 3kms on the paddy fields. Their tents were put up at a distance of 50meters from eachother. This was an interesting day as people of Karnataka were observing Ugadi festival and for shepherds its an another major festival . All the family members stay closer and do pooja to their herds, take blessings from them. On this day female family members together make a sweet called Holige. The count would have touched 100.

Later they started to take their herds for grazing at around 9.30 A.M. Vajir, Shankarappa and Narayana's herds were taken together for grazing maintaing a distant location from other herds. Tracking distance were 2-3kms. The area was covered mostly with grasses and thorny bushes on the roadsides. There was one water pond near the tent itself and another small water pond on the way to the grazing route. The herds were feeded with water twice a day, one during 12.30pm and another during 3.30pm.
