Agnii _ Art for all

Our General Achievements:

• We have been working with street children, school dropouts, child laborers, and underprivileged kids by training them in music, theatre, dance, sculpting etc, whereby their frustration and angst can be channeled productively.
• We have helped build a school called Born Free School, funded by our performances
• We are the coordinators for rainwater harvesting project in a Government School in Jai Bhuvaneshwari Nagar.

Harbingers of peace

• Participated in a historic cycle journey covering a distance of 2,869km from Bangalore to Lahore, carrying the message of peace and harmony
• Performed on the Korea-Indo national Day for friendship of two nations for the Indian and Korean Ambassador in Chennai
• Performed on the World Peace Day at the State Parliament of Karnataka

Children Welfare:

• Conducted a music workshop for tribal children in chattisghar with the collaboration of UNICEF. Children who are affected by armed conflicts and those who became Child Soldiers learned Indian Folk Instruments- Tamte, Djembe etc.

International Participation

• Participated in the Swedish Youth cultural exchange programme in Sweden
• Represented India at the Global March against Child Labour in Italy (2003)
• Represented India in the UK Indian Festival
• Organized Oceans of Joy, an International Festival.
• Organised Bangalore International Festival.
• Participated in United Games of Nation in Austria.
• As a delegate from India, attended the First Global Article 9 Conference in tokyp, Japan.

Exhibitions:

• We have organized photography exhibitions on child labour.
